Northwest Looks To Wind Power
In the Northwest, the Last Mile Electric Cooperative (LMEC) has collected proposals for projects that could provide 25 to 50 MW of wind power to the Pacific Northwest and northern California by the end of 2003, with an additional 25 to 200 MW potential over the next three to five years.
LMEC is a cooperative corporation of 16 public power utilities and other members located in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California.
