New purchasing group launched for wholesalers

NAPERVILLE, IL — A new purchasing group for wholesalers-distributors and contractors, Contractors Benefits Advantage (CBA), has been introduced.

CBA offers discounts on a variety of services and benefits. These include financial services for the contractor and his employees — such as 401K plans, consumer financing, contractor financing, and discounted rates on vehicle leasing — and access to discounts for tools, training, and shopping services.

The purchasing group also offers retirement plans and insurance programs, including medical, personal lines, workers compensation, auto liability, and others.

“Our purchasing alliance is designed for the mechanical, sheet metal, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical, and plumbing industries. Sponsors will include manufacturers who want to enhance the loyalty of their distributors and contractors by offering added-value in the form of benefits that are not available on the open market,” said Thomas J. Norris, founder of CBA.

“For the first time, small and large contractors can take advantage of one-stop shopping to access employee benefits and discounted financial products.”

Nordyne, manufacturer of Tappan, Frigidaire, Kelvinator, and Philco products, has already endorsed CBA and will make the new service available to its network of distributors and contractors and their employees.

“Initially, we’re targeting the hvacr and related industries, but eventually we’ll offer the purchasing group to all general contractors and subcontractors,” said Norris.
