New England Mechanical Named One of ‘Best Places to Work in Connecticut'

VERNON, Conn. - EMCOR Services’ New England Mechanical (NEMSI) was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in Connecticut - again. The annual program to recognize the state’s top employers is sponsored by the Hartford Business Journal, Connecticut Better Business Bureau, and Best Companies Group.

One of New England’s leading mechanical services contractors, EMCOR Services New England Mechanical is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc., a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses globally.

“Being named one of the best places to work in Connecticut for the second year in a row is indeed an honor,” said Dana Finnegan, president of EMCOR Services NEMSI. “It is testimony to a corporate culture at EMCOR that places a special emphasis on the well-being of employees, reflecting an attention to professional development, as well as a strict adherence to stringent safety practices in the field.”

There is a two-part process used to determine the companies given this award. The first part consists of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consists of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final ranking.
