NAW to use web to solve excess inventory problem

WASHINGTON, DC — The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) has entered into a strategic alliance with TradeOut.com to provide wholesaler-distributors with an effective way to dispose of excess inventory and idle business assets using the Internet.

TradeOut.com is a leading online marketplace for business-to-business excess and obsolete inventory across a variety of product categories, including computers, consumer automotive, hardware, capital equipment, and others. NAW has exclusively endorsed TradeOut.com as its preferred Internet exchange for excess inventory and idle assets in the wholesale distribution industry.

In announcing the new program, NAW vice president-strategic direction Ron Schreibman noted that, “Our market research shows excess inventory is a major non-producing asset for thousands of wholesaler-distributors.”

Firms interested in buying and/or selling excess inventory on the Internet and learning how they can participate in the NAW/TradeOut. com program should visit www.tradeout.com/naw.
