National HVACR Educators Conference Comes to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - The 2010 National HVACR Educators and Trainers Conference is March 14-16 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas. The conference is open to anyone in the industry - contractors, wholesalers, teachers, etc. - interested in learning about new technologies, changes in federal legislation, energy efficiency, best practices, training techniques that work, and green and sustainable technologies.

This year’s conference will have over 40 different sessions to attend. Sessions include not only lectures and roundtables, but also training aboard a green and sustainable mobile HVACR classroom that enables attendees to see first hand the type of training they will need to incorporate into their curriculum to make their graduates successful.

Sessions are conducted by industry and government leaders in their field, such as: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, DuPont, Carrier, IAPMO, United Association, International Code Council, California Energy Commission, and many others.

Additionally, authors from industry leading textbooks will be conducting sessions: Carter Stanfield - author of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Institute textbook “Fundamentals of HVACR,” and Bill Johnson and Eugene Silberstein, the authors of the Delmar text book “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology.”

The sponsors of the conference announced that with record sponsorship and exhibits, the early bird registration has been extended. Registration includes a plated breakfast and lunch on March 15 and 16; admission to all general sessions, breakout sessions, roundtables, and industry exhibits; a tour of the green and sustainable technologies mobile HVACR classroom; and the kick off event with an open bar. Attendees will have an opportunity to take educator-credentialing exams at no charge, and will earn continuing education credits for all sessions attended.
