MSI Renovates HVAC at Health Center

The Clearwater, Fla., office of Mechanical Services Inc. (MSI) announced that it is undertaking a major mechanical project including renovations of the HVAC systems at St. Petersburg College's Health Sciences Center in St. Petersburg, Fla. Under its contract with Energy Systems Group, MSI is replacing and upgrading the central energy plant as well as air distribution and air handling systems. MSI's scope of work is reported to be valued at over $1 million and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2006.

For over 30 years, MSI has served owners and decision-makers of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities by providing "Lowest Total Ownership Cost" solutions, says the company. Founded in Orlando in 1974 by William M. Dillard, CEO, what began as a three-person air conditioning service company has grown into a company with more than 200 employees. MSI offers HVAC predictive maintenance and service, system commissioning, microbial mitigation, building automation, Fast-Tracâ„¢ system replacement, and design-build construction.

Also, MSI's 50,000-square-foot Manufacturing and Training Center in Orlando has recently expanded its in-house production of sheet metal fabrication and piping sub-assemblies.
