The Multiple Installation (MI) software ties multiple boilers together and is programmed to custom match steam usage patterns, states the manufacturer. The boilers act as one big boiler with multiple backup and almost infinite turndown, states the manufacturer. When steam demand picks up, the MI controller compensates by forcing on-line boilers to high fire (full steam output within five minutes from cold start-up) while additional units are brought on-line. When steam demand slows, the MI controller reduces output and, if necessary, takes boilers off-line quickly and efficiently, says the company.
