The M12 Cordless Clamp-Gun™ clamp meter products expand the company’s lithium-ion tools. The meters are designed with an ergonomic pistol grip. According to the manufacturer, the improvement greatly increases comfort and ease-of-use in overhead applications by aligning the jaws and display to the user’s line of sight. The units also provide a wide 1.57-inch jaw opening to easily handle wire bundles, a thin jaw profile for access to tight spaces, and embedded noncontact voltage detection. The unit has a large, high-contrast white on black display and extra-bright LED floodlights. Two versions of the clamp meter are available: one for HVACR technicians and one for electricians. Specifications for the HVACR tech meter include 600 A ac, 1,000 vac, 1,000 vdc, 6 kOhms, and 600 microamps dc.
