Metal Industries Inc. donated $13,400, under the Metalaire
brand of commercial air distribution products, to the University of Florida’s
Rinker School of Building Construction for the purchase of this refrigeration
system trainer.
“We will use the refrigeration system trainer to help our students better understand the components in a building’s HVAC system,” said Dr. Paul Oppenheim, director of Undergraduate Program. “The trainer will help bridge the understanding of the engineering requirements with the manufacturers’ submittals.”
“We have been a long-time supporter of the University of Florida and are glad to see our contribution being used to train future managers in our industry,” said Damian Macaluso, president of Metal Industries.
