Mesa 3, Scott Companies Earn Safety Awards From MCAA

Mesa 3, Inc., of San Jose, CA, and Scott Companies, Inc., of San Leandro, CA, were among the winners of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America’s (MCAA’s) Safety Awards Program for 2001.

Both contractors were honored during the association’s sixth annual Awards of Excellence program, held at MCAA’s 113th annual convention at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, FL.

Mesa 3 captured third place in Category 1 (less than 50,000 work hours). Scott Companies placed second in Category 5 (1,000,000 work hours and over).

The safety awards are based on contractor participation in a Safety Statistics and Awards Program, a key element of MCAA’s Safety Excellence Initiative. The awards are based on a company’s lost work days incidence rates in five work hour categories: less than 50,000 hours; 50,000–99,999 hours; 100,000–299,999 hours; 300,000–999,999 hours; 1,000,000 hours and over.
