The company has redesigned its cen-trifugal chillers using new compressor tech-nology and heat exchanger design. Called the Distinction Series™, the chillers offer improved efficiency, an extended tonnage range, smaller footprint, and quieter operation, says the manufacturer. Available in single- and dual-compressor models sized from 80 to 2,700 tons, the machines operate at positive pressure using HFC-134a. With dual-compressor units, one compressor supplies as much as 60% of capacity, resulting in excellent part-load efficiency, the company says.
