The Daikin McQuay AWS line of air-cooled screw chillers, available in 175- to 510-ton sizes, has been redesigned from the bottom up, according to the manufacturer. The chillers utilize a new, efficient, and reliable compressor; new quieter fans; and new MicroTech® III controls. Standard models of the chiller, which use R-134a refrigerant, meet the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers 90.1 standard.
