ROCKVILLE, MD — The Career Development Committee of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Inc. (MCAA), announced the recipient of its first Educator of the Year Award is Professor Timothy G. Wentz, professor of construction management at the University of Nebraska.
The committee chose Wentz for this first-ever award in recognition of his commitment to MCAA’s educational programs, his success in creating a student chapter at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his willingness to assist the committee on a variety of educational and career development projects.
In addition to teaching construction management, Wentz is also the faculty adviser to the student chapter of Mechanical/Electrical Specialty Contracting at the University, a group that is affiliated with MCAA, as well as the Mechanical Contractors Association of Omaha.
The honor carries with it a $5,000 award, which is split between the student chapter of Mechanical/ Electrical Specialty Contracting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Wentz himself.
