May 5, 2009: Munters Begins Expansion of Restoration Services to Residential, Small Commercial Market

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. - Munters Moisture Control Services (MCS) announced that it is now offering its emergency fire and water damage restoration services to the residential and small commercial segments in the Philadelphia and Baltimore markets.

“Munters has been performing restoration and recovery services in the commercial and industrial markets in the U.S. for decades, working for the insurance industry and corporate risk managers and using its patented desiccant dehumidification technology to help in recovery efforts,” said Lauren Reid, president of area Americas and Asia for Munters MCS.

“In addition,” he said, “we have been helping homeowners recover after fires and floods in Europe from more than 300 company-owned locations. We will now extend our knowledge and experience to assist homeowners, residential insurance companies, facility managers, and small business owners in Philadelphia and Baltimore.”

“Munters has long been recognized for its leadership in drying technology, responsiveness and innovation in the large commercial and industrial segments,” said Jack Boyd, national business development manager for Munters MCS. “We’ve made investments in personnel and equipment in Philadelphia and Baltimore to implement this initiative and have an extensive local residential delivery system in place. And because our branch is company owned and not a franchise system, we have better control of the day-to-day operations and customer service.”

With more than 12 years experience in the industry, Brian Kevelin, branch manager in Munters’ Philadelphia office, will oversee that location’s team to lead the company’s water damage, fire restoration, and mold remediation offering.

Ray Betler, with more than 10 years of industry experience, will oversee operations in the Baltimore branch, which also covers the Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia areas.

“Whether it’s broken water pipes, flooding from rainstorms, or fire damage, Munters has extensive experience helping disaster victims avoid substantial reconstruction costs and returning structures to use quickly,” said Boyd.

Munters expects to move into the residential and small claims marketplace in additional markets over the next several years. “Entering the residential and small claims market will better position us to respond to our customers’ needs,” added Boyd.
