May 28, 2009: WinWholesale COO Assumes Expanded Role as Noland COO

DAYTON, Ohio - Monte Salsman, chief operating officer (COO) for WinWholesale Inc., one of the nation’s largest distributors, has assumed an expanded role as COO for its Noland Company subsidiary. According to WinWholesale, the move will benefit Noland by having a management structure similar to the Win companies.

Jean Preston, who had been Noland’s chief operating officer since 2005, has been appointed an area leader to oversee Noland locations in the northern part of its market in the Southeast. He also will oversee three Noland locations serving specialized markets. As an area leader, Preston is responsible for the growth and operation of Noland locations in his territory.

“After more than four years since WinWholesale acquired Noland Company, we have completed the successful integration in terms of systems like IT, payroll, human resources, inventory management, and other areas,” said Rick Schwartz, WinWholesale president and CEO. “With that work complete, we believe Noland will benefit from having a management structure similar to what has been successful for WinWholesale for several years.”

Schwartz emphasized that as a member of the Win Group of Companies the Noland Company brand will continue to stand on its own in supplying plumbing, HVAC, and industrial equipment and supplies to its markets in the Southeast. “The Noland brand with its long history is well known and has a lot of equity with customers who rely on high quality products and customer service for a competitive advantage. That will continue as we further position Noland for growth,” Schwartz said.

With the management structure changes, Rob McCullough, formerly Noland’s manager for the southern and southeast regions, was appointed an area leader for Noland locations in the southern part of its market. John Simmons, who previously was manager for Noland’s mid-Atlantic and south central regions, was appointed an area leader in WinWholesale’s eastern region overseeing Win companies such as Winnelson and Winair.

WinWholesale is a leading supplier of domestic and industrial supplies and materials headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. The privately-held company consists of more than 470 wholesaling corporations in which WinWholesale is an equity partner, and also Noland Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary with more than 70 locations.
