March 6, 2006: Bryant Pledges Support for Hurricane Katrina Victims

LAS VEGAS - Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems announced from its 2006 National Dealer Convention here that it has committed to providing assistance for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The company has partnered with its dealer community and the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity to deliver heating and cooling systems and service to a number of residential rebuilding projects that will take place in 2006.

"‘Whatever It Takes' is not simply a tag line that our dealers deliver to all of our customers," said David Meyers, vice president of sales, who made the announcement with representatives of Bryant's New Orleans dealer community. "It is a commitment that we carry to our communities when our neighbors need our assistance." Meyers made the announcement before more than 3,000 dealers and distributors present at the convention.

In addition to providing support for residents, Bryant continues to assist its dealer community in the greater New Orleans area as well. For all of 2006, Bryant has extended the business-building discounts associated with the Bryant Select program free of charge to all dealers affected by Hurricane Katrina.

"In addition to donating a number of Bryant's Hybrid Heatâ„¢ systems, our dealer community in New Orleans is looking forward to providing installation services to those affected by Hurricane Katrina," said Kevin Dudash, Bryant brand manager.

The Hybrid Heat system is designed to let homeowners heat their home with the most economical combination available by joining a heat pump with a gas furnace. The heat pump acts as an air conditioner in the summer months, while the combination of furnace and heat pump provides maximum efficiency in the winter since each system operates when it is most cost-effective.
