WASHINGTON - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) contractor Langdon Sheet Metal of Cincinnati with a small business award in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The company was acknowledged for its work on the Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center in Cincinnati - said to be the largest and most complex building renovation ever undertaken by the EPA in an occupied facility.

In 2008, under a 10-year contract worth $85 million, Langdon Sheet Metal began replacing the major mechanical systems at the facility and has successfully completed the first two phases on time and within budget. The EPA noted that the company’s outstanding performance, quality workmanship, knowledgeable personnel, and excellent customer service exceeded EPA expectations.
