March 15, 2005: Linc Group Purchases Pro Mechanical Services

PITTSBURGH - Phoenix-based Pro Mechanical Services, with a branch location in Tucson, Ariz., has been acquired by The Linc Group (TLG), a provider of mechanical and facility management services to building owners and operators. Pro Mechanical Services has been a member of the Linc Service Network of commercial HVAC contractors since 1983, and this acquisition makes Pro Mechanical the newest Linc Group-owned franchise.

The Pro Mechanical acquisition extends the reach of The Linc Group's company-owned stores to include Atlanta; Boston; Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; Detroit; Orange, Calif.; Pittsburgh; Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas; Las Vegas; and Orlando and Tampa, Fla. The Linc Network is comprised of these locations plus more than 100 independently-owned franchises throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda, Australia, and New Zealand, all of which follow the disciplines of the Linc System®, a proprietary system for delivering preventive maintenance, equipment retrofits, and energy efficiency to the commercial buildings market.

According to Scott Giacobbe, president and CEO of the Linc Network, a primary focus of The Linc Group companies is growth through acquisition - especially acquisition of highly desirable existing franchisees. "Phoenix and Tucson are growing markets, markets that we are pleased to add to our company store portfolio. By joining forces with Pro Mechanical, we are partnering with a known entity that's already providing high quality service - Linc Service - and are able to achieve our collective goals.

"Pro Mechanical Services has been an integral partner since the early '80s," Giacobbe continued. "This new relationship enables Pro Mechanical to continue delivering the same high quality service to their customers while helping to expand their depth and breadth by becoming a company-owned store. We're pleased to now have them as part of the ‘immediate' family."
