NORMAN, Okla. - In an effort to better support its independent contractors, Johnson Controls’ Luxaire® brand is offering new co-marketing options and flexible consumer promotion dates in 2007.

This year, Luxaire dealers are being offered new advertising and lead generation packages as part of the 2007 Luxaire Co-Marketing Program. Some of the options dealers can choose from include:

• ShopWise™ shared direct mail flyers

• SOLO postcard direct mail

• Valpak coupon mailers

• Cable TV commercials

• Radio commercials

• Newspaper advertisements

• Outdoor billboards

“These new packages are designed specifically for lead generation,” said Tim Lashar, Luxaire brand manager for Johnson Controls. “We want consumers to read/hear this information and get dealer phones ringing.”

In addition to offering new promotion programs, Luxaire is also allowing dealers to select when they want to hold their promotion. Dealers can run their promotion during the standard period, April 15 to June 30, 2007, or during a new, optional period, March 15 to May 31, 2007.

“The benefit here is that dealers have flexibility with the dates, so they can plan their pre-season promotion depending upon what region of the country they are in and their market requirements,” said Lashar. “For example, if you live in the Southwest, you may want to start your spring promo sooner than your counterparts in the Northeast, since the warm weather arrives a little earlier in the South,” said Lashar.

Rebates and extended warranties are the centerpiece of the 2007 Luxaire spring promotion. The program offers Luxaire brand heating and air conditioning consumers a choice of a cash back rebate up to $1,500 or a 10-year parts and labor extended warranty on selected residential heating and cooling products purchased during the spring promotional period.
