Carrier Corp.’s Container Products Group (Syracuse, NY) has been awarded an order from P & O Nedlloyd for 14,500 container refrigeration units. This is the largest order in the history of the container refrigeration industry, the company says.

The Trane Company (La Crosse, WI) now offers information on how to reduce energy costs on its website. By going to www.trane.com, individuals can find case studies, energy solutions, and five steps on conserving energy.

Airtech International Group, Inc. (Dallas, TX), has received an endorsement from Nations Residential Service for its Titan III in-duct air sterilization system. Nations Residential Services will launch a marketing campaign to sell the product to its client base of 10,000-plus customers.

American Standard, Unitary Products Group (Tyler, TX), has announced that Duro Supply Co. (Bay City, MI) will distribute its unitary products in the Northern Michigan area.

The Munters Corp. Service Division (Amesbury, MA) has introduced Solutions, a customer service package that incorporates site analysis, systems engineering, products from any Munters division, turnkey installation, system commissioning, and long-term service. Lau Industries, Inc. (Dayton, OH), is planning a $4 million renovation of its Lebanon, IN plant. The renovation is an upgrade to the physical structure and includes new machinery as well as a 90,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility for its air movement products.

Taylor Made Environmental (TME) (Richmond, VA) has provided a Cruisair hvac system for Volvo’s VN 770 technology demonstration truck. The prototype air conditioning system is designed to provide climate control when the truck’s engine is not running.

ABB (Zurich, Switzerland) has won a $44 million U.S. order from Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) to build a new substation to meet growing demand for power in downtown Chicago. The substation is scheduled for completion in May 2002.

Invensys Motor Systems (St. Louis, MO) reports that it has reached a milestone by selling 25 million draft inducers. The company sold its first Fasco draft inducer back in 1981.
