  • ARTI (Grants Pass, OR) has selected CIH Equipment Company, Inc., as the authorized distributor of its new HHPC-6 airborne particle counter. ARTI is a manufacturer of instruments and systems used to detect particulates in air, water, and oil. For more information, visit www.arti.net (website).
  • EASCO Boiler Corp. (Bronx, NY) has formed a new relationship with Carlin Combustion Technology, Inc. The manufacturer will now feature Carlin on its line of field-erected and packaged firetube boilers. EASCO has also recently received authorization to apply the UL mark to its Series FST, ESP, and SM4 field-erected firetube boilers.
  • International Comfort Products (ICP) (Nashville, TN) has launched a publicity campaign for the Tempstar SmartComfort 90+ gas furnaces. The campaign will cover Internet, newspaper, radio, and trade press, as well as a featured segment on the show “American Architectural Review,” which will air on public television.   • Whirlpool Corp. (Benton Harbor, MI), with the assistance of the American Lung Association (ALA) of Brooklyn and Queens, NY, and the Chelsea Group, Ltd. (Itasca, IL), has donated 400 air purification units for the 9-11 relief efforts in New York.
  • A.O. Smith Water Products Company (Irving, TX) will sponsor its scholarship program for members of its Professional Contractors Association (PCA).   • Martin Industries, Inc.(Florence, AL), has announced that Bill G. Hughey has tendered his resignation from the company’s board of directors. Hughey has spent over 40 years as an employee, president, and director of Martin Industries.
  • Paul Jordan has joined American Auto-Matrix (Export, PA) as ceo. Jordan will assume leadership for all engineering, manufacturing, customer support, and financial facets for the company.
  • Gems Sensors, Inc. (Plainville, CT) has acquired Setra Systems, Inc. (Boxborough, MA), a designer and manufacturer of capacitance pressure transducers and related devices.
