General Filters Inc. (Novi, Mich.) promoted Tim Barton (right) as vice president of sales and marketing. The company also hired Dean Scheurich as the new Eastern sales manager.

Johnson Controls (Milwaukee) was named one of the “40 Best Companies for Diversity” and among the top 15 for supplier diversity by Black Enterprise Magazine.

M&M Manufacturing Co. (Ft. Worth, Texas) was recapitalized by TGF Management Corp. (Austin, Texas). The company’s existing ownership will remain active shareholders.

Bard Manufacturing Co. (Bryan, Ohio) promoted Vaughan Smith (right) to the position of national sales manager, Engineered Products. His responsibilities will include promoting product benefits, developing projects, and expanding distribution channels.
