ABB (Norwalk, Conn.) group executive Dinesh C. Paliwal has been elected to the board of directors of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC). Headquartered in Washington, the council is a policy development organization promoting American interests in India.
Burr Oak Tool and Gauge Co. (Sturgis, Mich.) celebrated the birthday of Newell A. Franks, who turned 95 on June 8. He is the father of L.A. Franks, president of the company. "We suspect he may be the oldest person working every day in the machine building part of the HVACR industry," said L.A. Franks. "He still enjoys driving a fork truck tractor and shipping very large machines to customers all over the world that are used to make evaporator and condenser coils."
