Carrier Corp. (Syracuse, NY) announced that it has purchased Slack Buckner Systems (SBS) of Dallas, TX, a leading manufacturers’ representative firm offering hvac equipment in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. SBS will combine its commercial sales organization with Carrier-Bock and the combined companies will be known as Carrier North Texas.

Peerless Heater Co. (Boyertown, PA) and Mestek, Inc. (Westfield, MA) have jointly announced a final settlement of the pending litigation between the two companies. Officials of both companies expressed satisfaction with the settlement, and stated that they were committed to working together in the future.

Vilter Manufacturing Corp. (Cudahy, WI) has formed an exclusive partnership with Logic Technologies (Stockbridge, GA) to offer computer control systems for refrigeration control, data collection, monitoring and user reports, and other functions.

Munters Corp. (Amesbury, MA) has established a new toll-free service line: 800-686-8377. The number will be used to serve all of the company’s North American divisions, including the DH Division (Cargocaire and Drycool), Humicool, the ME Division, Moisture Control Services, and Zeol.
