Manufacturer's New Software

NORMAN, Okla. - In an effort to provide support to independent contractors, distributors, and technicians, Johnson Controls introduced a new Windows® software service guide for York gas and oil furnaces. The software is a part of the ProficienTECH Series of media-based technical training created by Johnson Controls - Unitary Products.

For each York gas and oil furnace model, the software provides a printable technical guide, installation instructions, a submittal data sheet, a repair parts listing, and a user’s manual. The software, designed for Windows PCs, incorporates helpful links, charts, tables, and guides. An automatic update feature helps keep the latest support information available to service technicians.

“The ProficienTECH Series was developed to help installation and service technicians better understand our products in order to better serve their customers,” said Scott Nelmark, training services manager for Johnson Controls - Unitary Products. “The Furnace Service Guide, like all of our ProficienTECH software programs, is designed to be automatically updated via the Internet to ensure the technicians always have the most up-to-date training materials.”
