The Contactor Saver™ is designed to reduce the chattering or humming noise of air conditioning units caused by vibration of the contacts or, in extreme cases, an intermittent opening and closing of the contactor. The Contactor Saver can be added to the control circuit of the contactor coil, thereby increasing the closing force, the company says. This product conditions and improves the electrical signal to the contactor’s electromagnetic coil. This results in noise reduction, eliminates the contactor voltage losses due to contactor chatter, helps prevent point pitting, and extends the life of the contactor, states the company. The Contactor Saver can be used on any control circuit up to 400 V and 3 A.
