Improvements to the LN-25 portable wire feeder provide added durability and ruggedness, the manufacturer says. A semi-automatic, constant-speed feeder, the unit’s portability enables it to handle out-of-position and hard-to-reach welds. The new “pigtail” input cable reduces stress problems by connecting to a standard output stud and acting as an intermediate connection between the input cable and contactor terminal. Other features include a heavy-duty work clamp, more secure case door mounting, and an aluminum skid plate to prevent cracks and breaks in the case during dragging. Lincoln Electric Co., c/o Ultimate Lead Systems, P.O. Box 739, Berea, OH 44017; 888-355-3213; www.lincolnelectric.com (Web site).
