Langford Serves Second Term As ClimateCare President

BURLINGTON, Ontario - ClimateCare, a Canadian co-operative of independent HVAC contractors, has announced that Wayne Langford of Design Air ClimateCare, Thornhill, Ontario, continues as president of the co-op for 2004. His appointment to a second 1-year term was made by the board of directors at the ClimateCare Annual Meeting on May 14 in Ottawa.

The annual meeting also saw the addition to the board of Jim Wismer of Wismer's ClimateCare in Midland, and the appointment of a new slate of officers (all Ontario businesses):

  • Director, Bill Smith, Custom Comfort ClimateCare, Barrie

  • Director, Jim Wismer, Wismer's ClimateCare, Midland

    ClimateCare used the opportunity to recognize the achievements of its member companies. In addition to presenting awards to 19 ClimateCare companies for surpassing their purchase goals in 2003, special awards were given to Roger Grochmal of Atlas Air ClimateCare in Mississauga and Brady Storey of B & B ClimateCare for achieving the largest growth in purchases. Brian Walker from Walker ClimateCare in Cornwall received the Profitability Award for the highest percentage of profitability among all members. The ClimateCare roster totals 31 members across Ontario, from Windsor to Cornwall and as far north as North Bay.

    ClimateCare is a member-owned co-operative of independent heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractors across Ontario. Established in 1992, ClimateCare's main purpose is to improve the quality and profitability of its members. Altogether, ClimateCare members have 500 employees, 250 vehicles on the road, and combined total sales of $50 million.
