Phil Meyers, 69, of Pendleton, Indiana, died June 2. Meyers served as national Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) president from 2000 to 2001 and was a member of SMACNA’s board of directors from 1994 to 1997.
The HVACR industry lost a good one Feb. 10 with the passing of WaterFurnace president and CEO Tom Huntington due to cancer. Huntington passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Dr. Joost Brasz, aero thermal manager, Danfoss Turbocor Compressors, passed away Sept. 2 at the age of 70. Dr. Brasz was recognized by the HVAC industry and the academic community as a leader and expert aerodynamic engineer in turbomachinery and centrifugal compressor technology.
