Contracting Week 2010 is presented by ACCA in partnership with The NEWS. The events will be held at the Sheraton Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas, from Oct. 5-10, 2010.
Kicking off the week on Oct. 5 and 6 is the Green Contracting Summit, a day and a half summit meeting for residential contractors, commercial contractors, managers, and others featuring panels on the most important issue the HVAC industry is wrestling with, said ACCA. Green contracting is no longer a buzzword, noted the association, it’s a mindset approach being driven by policy and cultural shifts that cannot be ignored. Through this series of panels, participants will discover new business models for themselves, while helping the industry to shape this changing world.
The seventh annual Commercial Contracting Roundtable will be held Oct. 7 and 8. This program is designed for owners and managers of contracting firms that work in the commercial marketplace, and features a new lineup of 12 seminars led by leading contractors and experts offering insights into leadership, operations, and service innovation.
Also held Oct. 7 and 8, the third annual National HVACR Service Managers Forum returns with a new series of networking events and seminars led by service managers and contractors from across the country focused on management skills, team development, and lead generation. The format presents six workshops, each repeated, so that service managers can participate in all of them. The Service Managers Forum is designed for people who run or work in service departments at HVACR contracting firms of all kinds and sizes.
Closing the week on Oct. 9 and 10 is the new Refrigeration Contracting Roundtable, a first-ever forum for contracting firms that install and maintain refrigeration systems. This forum has been developed by refrigeration contractors, and will feature discussions and expert presentations on a number of topics, including refrigerant management, changing regulations, refrigeration service agreements, and more.
Complete program information, along with online registration, is available at www.contractingweek.com. Early bird registration, with a $100 discount, is available until Aug. 13.
