July 15, 2010: Danfoss President to Participate in Panel at Clean Energy Ministerial

BALTIMORE - Robert Wilkins, president of Danfoss North America, will participate in a panel discussion during the first-ever Clean Energy Ministerial, scheduled for July 19-20 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The panel, which will focus on energy-efficient appliances, buildings, and vehicles, will also include participants from Whirlpool, Wal-Mart, Sylvania, and Ingersoll-Rand and is part of a larger program hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Two other panels scheduled during the July 19 stakeholder meeting include discussions on renewable energy and clean energy access, and smart buildings and the smart grid.

Danfoss is also an official supporter of the event, which will bring together ministers and stakeholders from more than 20 countries to collaborate on policies and programs to accelerate the world’s transition to clean energy technologies.

“As a strong proponent of the advancement of energy-efficient technologies, Danfoss is both thrilled and honored to be a part of this program,” said Wilkins. “We believe that events like this one, which pool together global energy policy leaders and technology innovators, can help governments and other stakeholders make great strides in the development and advancement of clean energy technologies and contribute to a more energy-efficient, sustainable world.”

The Ministerial is a three-part event that includes a government-only ministerial meeting, a stakeholder meeting, and a public forum. The meeting aims to provide an opportunity for governments and other participants to announce actions to accelerate deployment of clean energy technologies and will focus on concrete steps to promote clean energy.
