The Zip-Ez fastener mechanically and permanently attaches duct wrap, fiber-free reflective insulation, and flexible duct using a sheet metal screw. The nonmetallic fasteners don’t lose bonding properties in extreme hot or cold temperatures, says the company. According to the manufacturer, one per foot is all that is needed. The all-purpose fastener design allows for one-handed installation. A bag of Zip-Ez fasteners contains approximately 250 pieces and weighs about 1.87 pounds.
