Johnstone Supply Promotes Jim Adcox

PORTLAND, Ore. - Johnstone Supply Inc. promoted Jim Adcox (pictured right) to the position of vice president of membership. Adcox's core responsibility will be to act as the corporate headquarters liaison to Johnstone Supply members, each of whom are independent owners belonging to the Johnstone Cooperative. In this executive staff role, Adcox will oversee store branch expansions, new startups, and independent stores joining the cooperative, as well as providing market analysis and strategic planning consultation for the over 300 existing Johnstone locations nationwide.

He has over 23 years of executive management experience in the wholesale industry. In his new position, Adcox is expected to continue to propel Johnstone's growth and national expansion. Under his leadership, the Johnstone Cooperative has averaged an addition of 18 new stores per year since 2002, and he has also been instrumental in setting up strategic alliances with owners in large markets. Adcox's goals for the cooperative's membership department include sustaining and accelerating Johnstone's growth and business continuity plans, and helping existing stores continue to grow and prosper.
