John B. Goodman named chairman, president, ceo
John B. Goodman is now chairman of the board and interim president and ceo. Former president Tom Burkett and former chairman and ceo Frank Murray have left the company.
John Goodman is the son of the late Harold V. Goodman, founder of the privately held company.
Robert Cizik will act as special adviser to John Goodman. He had been serving as special adviser to the board of directors for the past three years. Cizik is the former chairman and ceo of Cooper Industries.
Garland Winningham will become senior executive vice president of heating and air conditioning products for both Goodman and Amana brands. He will be responsible for all aspects of the Goodman Manufacturing, Quietflex, and Amana Heating and Air Conditioning divisions.
Winningham was formerly senior executive vice president of manufacturing for Goodman and Amana. He will remain at Goodman headquarters in Houston.
Pete Alexander is now senior executive vice president of Amana, responsible for all aspects of Amana Home Appliances, International, and Commercial Cooking divisions.
Alexander had been senior executive vice president of sales and marketing for Goodman and Amana. He will relocate from Houston to Amana, Iowa.
