CHARLESTON, S.C. - In coordination with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that its officers in the Port of Charleston, S.C., seized a shipment of R-22 refrigerant originating from Mexico.

The 560 cylinders of refrigerant seized were said to have a domestic value of $97,049. CBP reported that an earlier seizure of 11,400 cylinders of R-22 valued at $988,797 was made in Charleston in October.
