Jan. 13, 2006: Linc Facility Services Wins Contract With Irvine Company

HOUSTON - Linc Facility Services LLC (LFS) announced that it has been awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by the Office Properties division of the Irvine Company. Headquartered in Newport Beach, Calif., the Irvine Company is a privately held real estate investment company in Orange County, Calif.

LFS will provide O&M services for buildings located in the Irvine Spectrum, including University Research Park, Irvine Business Center, and Irvine Technology Center. Begun in 1985, the 5,000-acre Irvine Spectrum is one of the largest master-planned centers for research, technology, and business in the world. There are approximately 2,500 businesses in the greater Irvine Spectrum area employing approximately 55,000 people. Core industry clusters include automotive design, biotech, broadband, computer software, computer hardware, and medical devices.

Under this contract, LFS will perform O&M services for all HVAC, electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, fire protection, and fire and life safety systems. LFS will implement the use of Linc Wireless handheld technology to manage these projects to help increase worker productivity and create a more fluid work environment.
