Invention Submission Corp.: Rooftop Unit Moving Device

A rooftop unit moving device is designed for moving HVAC units weighing up to 1,200 pounds across a flat roof. According to the company, an installer can move a commercial HVAC unit safely and easily long distances across a roof, then lower the unit onto the roof curb. It is designed to prevent damage to the curb's gasket. The company says the unit would eliminate the need for unstable roof carts, which can allow the unit to tip, potentially injuring the installer and damaging the roof. Also, the unit would be an alternative to using A-frame-type devices, which must be hoisted to the roof and powered by a generator, states the company.
