A new line of Elmwood Sensors thick film heaters is available with fast thermal response and watt densities up to 300 W/in.², says the company. The heaters offer higher efficiency and better performance compared to traditional NiChrome and Calrod heater technology, claims the manufacturer. Key to the thick film unit’s performance is its integrated temperature control sensor. Low thermal mass provides quick thermal response of up to 30°C per 0.1 sec, the company says. Applications include humidifiers and water heaters.
