The Attic Tent is a folding attic staircase cover. It assists in sealing the envelope of the home as well as sealing and insulating the attic access, the area between the home and attic. According to the manufacturer, when the HVAC system is running, the positive or negative pressure it creates either forces conditioned air out of the home or sucks unhealthy attic and outside air into the home, both summer and winter. The cover helps keep out moisture, pollen, insects, and unhealthy insulation dust from the attic. It comes fully assembled and is made of durable materials. The design allows for variations in the rough framing construction, including uneven surfaces.
