News Editor Wins Third ASBPE Award

CHICAGO - John R. Hall, the business management editor of The News, was recently given an award in the "Regular Column, Staff Written" category by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). The award covers publications (weekly, monthly, and bi-monthly) in the United States Midwest/South region.

Hall was presented with the "Gold Award" at the ASBPE Chicago meeting in mid-June. The award is based on two sample entries from columns that appeared in the 2004 editions of The News. The columns included "If You Don't Toot Your Own Horn, Who Will?" (Dec. 6, 2004) and "National Indoor Comfort Week: It's Time To Brag" (April 12, 2004).

Hall also won ASBPE awards in 2001 and 2002.

Publication date: 07/04/2005
