HVACR Textbook Published

CLIFTON PARK, N.J. - Delmar, part of Cengage Learning, released “HVACR 301,” the third book in a four-part series of HVACR training textbooks. The book was written by John Hohman in partnership with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the PHCC (Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors) Educational Foundation, and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES). It is the only series supported by these three industry organizations.

Building on beginning concepts and the strong theoretical knowledge established with “HVACR 101” and “HVACR 201,” this next installment guides readers through increasingly advanced concepts in the field. Content ranges from the troubleshooting of systems and components to concepts of fluid-handling systems, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and IAQ. Throughout the text, industry-specific language, field examples, and real-world scenarios are used to provide context that is relevant and applicable to the trade.

In addition, pictures, graphs, and tables clarify and illustrate important HVACR systems and processes, aiding professionals and students in understanding complex procedures. Accompanying the book are instructor supplements, including an instructor’s manual, image library, PowerPoint® slides, and an electronic test bank.

The titles in the HVACR series cover basic math, equipment, installation, troubleshooting, service and repair, and systems design. For more information, visit rses.org.
