Commercial rooftop unit (RTU) Savings Estimator software gives users a way to compare various setback, economizer, and demand control ventilation control strategy combinations and their estimated energy usage and potential savings impact, says the company. The newest version of the software, 3.12, allows custom building size scaling and hourly and monthly weekend/weekday occupancy customization. The Cost tab allows user input for utility rates and estimates of control product/labor costs for a new installation or controls upgrade. The Final tab calculates the energy usage/savings for each control strategy and a quick payback if system installation costs have been provided.
