Iron Grip 601 and Flex-Grip 550 water-based duct sealants can be used on all types of metal duct, glass fiber duct board, and flex duct, as well as duct fabric and flexible tubing runouts. For indoor and outdoor use, the duct sealants can be applied by brush, putty knife, caulk gun, and pump, and they are designed to be applied to the whole surface of the duct joint. The service temperature of the two sealants is -20 degrees to 200 degrees F. The sealants' pressure classes are SMACNA 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 10 inches water gauge, and their seal classes are SMACNA A, B, and C. They are UL 181 listed and compliant.
