PEWAUKEE, Wis. - Winners of Gustave A. Larson Co.’s Annual Supplier Evaluation were honored at a dinner where they received the 2006 Partners in Excellence and Quality (PEAQ) Award. Armacell, Crystal Distribution Inc., DuPont Fluoroproducts, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, and RenewAire were chosen through an evaluation of data collected throughout the year considering various measurements of the quality of partnering in business. Factors considered include product quality, profitability, marketing, sales support, electronic commerce capabilities, on-time deliveries, basic credit terms, policies, and procedures.

The Larson Co. held a separate awards dinner honoring the top supplier salespeople for 2006. The top three supplier salespeople in each of Larson’s four regions were selected and the winner in each region was announced at the awards dinner. Katrina Shaffer, representing Vista Sales, was named the Outstanding Sales Person in the Mountain Region; along with Ron Rizzo, representing DuPont Fluoroproduct, in the North Central Region; Keith Rinderknecht, representing RAC Sales, in the Great Lakes Region; and Dan Thompson, representing Lennox Hearth Products, in the Great Plains Region.

Also honored were Ron Schmalz, Sporlan Valve Co.; Dave Lindahl, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products; Jim Kramer, Research Products Corp.; Jeff Weinberger, Honeywell; Jeff Dahm, White Rodgers; Troy Evans, Sporlan Valve Co.; Howard Endres, Hot Water Products; and Jerry Wallock, Sporlan Valve Co. The criteria used to evaluate the sales personnel include quality of sales call, product knowledge, communication skills, and accountability.

“Our PEAQ program continues to strengthen our partnerships with our suppliers, helping us to provide better service to our customers,” said Sue Sinclair, senior vice president and CIMO who administers Larson’s PEAQ program.
