LOS ANGELES, CA — Southern California Gas Co. is offering rebates and services designed to help residential and small-business customers increase their energy efficiency and better manage their natural gas costs. The utility suggests that customers go to the company website at www.socalgas.com. Visitors can then take part in the Home Energy Fitness Survey and Interactive Home Tour. The Fitness Survey offers customers an assessment of their home’s energy “health” and indicates possible areas of improvement. The Interactive Tour introduces visitors to information regarding new appliances, conservation tips, and rebate programs.

A financial rebate program for home upgrades and appliances offers qualifying homeowners a variety of rebates by purchasing Energy Star® equipment such as furnaces, clothes washers, and dishwashers. The utility is also offering Express Efficiency Rebates towards the purchase and installation of high-efficiency water heaters, space-heating boilers, and hot water boilers. Finally, limited income programs have been made available to assist with home improvement, no-cost weatherization, and furnace repair.
