Forrester, Nersesian Join ABC's Government Affairs

WASHINGTON - The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) named two new members to its government affairs division: Sue Forrester, ABC director of political affairs, and Carin Nersesian, ABC director of legislative affairs.

"We are pleased to have two individuals with the political and legislative experience of Sue Forrester and Carin Nersesian join the ABC government affairs team," said Bill Spencer, ABC vice president, government affairs.

Forrester served as the national director of the Republican National Committee's (RNC's) Victory 2004 program, managing a multimillion dollar budget that funded all political activity for the 17 presidential target states.

She was also the director of operations for the RNC's political department, as well as having served as the RNC's Western regional field coordinator. She has additional experience as a campaign training coordinator for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Forrester will lead ABC's political activities nationwide, including management of the political action committee, which donated more than $1.7 million during the 2003-2004 campaign cycle.

Nersesian most recently served as a legislative assistant to Rep. Jon Porter, R-Nev. Nersesian handled financial services, appropriations, judiciary, and energy issues for the congressman. In addition to handling legislative responsibilities, she composed speeches and testimony for the congressman.

Prior to her work for Porter, Nersesian served in finance roles for two separate congressional campaigns. She will represent ABC on key industry issues on Capitol Hill.
