The Fond'ice® residential all-weather unit can be used to provide both heating and cooling. The unit offers wood-burning heat, heat pump heat, and air conditioning from one unit, which is designed for fireplace installation. The unit automatically switches between cold and hot modes according to the preset temperature and operates at 32 dB. It can be used for warm or cool air distribution through ducts leading from the fireplace, for spaces over 750 square feet, depending on insulation and outdoor temperature. The air conditioning and wood heating functions cannot run at the same time; a safety device automatically cuts off one system when the other is running. An isolation system protects the inner air conditioning unit installed beneath the firebox. The thermostat displays the temperature on an LCD screen and comes with a remote control. The reversible air conditioner uses inverter technology and R-410A refrigerant.
