Financial Results For The Week: 02/11/2002

  • United Technologies Corp. (New York, NY) is reporting a 19% drop in fourth-quarter profits. The company’s net income for the quarter was $345 million, or $0.69 per share, compared with $426 million, or $0.84 per share, a year earlier.
  • ServiceMaster (Downers Grove, IL) has announced that its earnings per share in 2001 were $0.51, compared to $0.57 for 2000. Revenues in 2001 were up 3% over the previous year to $3.60 billion.
  • Wolverine Tube, Inc. (Huntsville, AL), is expecting a loss per share from operations of the fourth quarter of 2001 of $0.23 to $0.28. This loss is before LIFO and other nonoperating charges, according to the company. The loss per share for the quarter, including LIFO and other charges, is expected to be $0.36 to $0.41.
