FieldCentrix Files Patents for Wireless Capabilities

IRVINE, CA — FieldCentrix has filed patent applications for its wireless and workflow technologies.

The first patent is for a method of wireless communication between field technicians using handheld computers and Internet-based users throughout the system. The handheld computers used by techs are capable of operating independently during times when wireless communication is not available, and would avoid the “out-of-coverage, out-of-work” situation common to elementary mobile systems, the company said.

The second patent is for ServiceFlow which, “using a combination of software, wireless and Internet technology…delivers a structured workflow to field technicians.”
