The UV-16R has been retooled to create two new air purifiers: 120- and 24-V models. The new UV-16/24 low-voltage model comes with a 40-vac transformer for safer installation. The UV-16/24 and UV-16/120 models each include a reflector panel to concentrate UV rays inside the ductwork. A duct board mounting kit aids in installation. A safety switch prevents accidental exposure when changing lamps or servicing the unit. Both the 120- and 24-V models have see-through packaging. Each UV-Aire product comes with a DVD to help educate the consumer on the benefits of UV air purification.
